As our Industrial Mechatronics Maintenance Specialist, you’ll be the go‑to expert who keeps electro‑mechanical assets online and efficient. Your week runs Monday–Friday and blends fast diagnostics with methodical preventive care across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC‑controlled equipment. When an issue pops up, you’ll dive into schematics, PLC logic, and control circuits to get to root cause quickly—then capture the fix in our CMMS so the learning sticks.
Whata week might look like
- Walk the floor to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and adjustments that stop failures before they start.
- Respond to equipment calls, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and return assets to service rapidly.
- Trace control issues in PLCs (Allen‑Bradley ), refine logic, and remedy faults in sensors, relays, VFDs, and AC/DC motor controls.
- Study electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC programs to plan safe, effective repairs.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new production and facility equipment.
- Document work performed, parts used, and findings in CMMS; keep records clean and searchable.
- Apply lockout/tagout and all safety protocols; ensure work aligns with electrical codes and company standards.
- Partner with Engineering and Operations to boost uptime, reliability, and performance.
- Pitch in on other duties as needed to support the operation.
- High school diploma or GED (technical degree/certification).
- 3+ years in industrial maintenance working across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Hands‑on PLC troubleshooting skills (Allen‑Bradley ) and strong knowledge of electrical control systems.
- Proficiency with AC/DC motors, VFDs, sensors, and relays; able to read technical documentation and schematics.
- Manual machining skills and comfort with precision measurement.
- Clear communicator with strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and a self‑starter mindset.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 12 hours during a shift.
- Comfort working with non‑hazardous oils and solvents.
- Visual acuity for detailed work; able to read and interpret manuals, instructions, and procedures.
