Instrumentation & Electrical Field Technician - Water Operations

Location: Mansfield

As an Instrumentation & Electrical Field Technician, you'll support our automated water transfer systems in the field. This technical, hands-on role involves installing and maintaining sensors, troubleshooting electronics, configuring devices, and ensuring safe and efficient operations at remote customer sites. You'll split time between field work and shop-based equipment repairs, reporting directly to the Manager of Automated Operations.

* Set up and rig down automation equipment on site

* Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on sensors, valves, and controls

* Use hand tools, diagnostic gear, and software to configure and test systems

* Respond to field service calls and troubleshoot real-time issues

* Interact with clients and represent the company professionally onsite

* Complete daily reporting and safety documentation

* Travel regionally, often to remote locations, with occasional overnight stays

* Adhere to all SOPs, safety standards, and training requirements

* 1+ year of oil & gas or relevant industrial experience

* Experience with electrical wiring, electronics, or instrumentation

* Familiarity with multimeters, computers, and basic networking

* Strong problem-solving and time-management skills

* Ability to work independently and with a team in fast-paced environments

* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly

* Positive, safety-first mindset with a desire to grow and learn

* Field-Based | Full-Time | 12-hour shifts possible | Travel and overnight stays as required

* Outdoor work in all weather conditions
