Truck Body Installer

J&J Truck Bodies and Trailers is looking for experienced truck body installers who will prepare chassis to receive bodies, cut, weld, and modify chassis as required. The role includes installing wiring and electrical components, hydraulic system components, lift axles, plow hoists, body hoists, hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic components, and controls, and performing similar tasks on trailers.

• Check driveshaft clearance
• Ensure proper routing of airlines
• Competent in basic shop math
• Modify and prepare chassis as required by the work order.
• Install wiring and electrical components.
• Install pneumatic controls and components.
• Install hydraulic controls and components.
• Install plow lifts and hoists.
• Install lift axles.
• Install body hoists and hoist cylinders.
• Safely perform duties; wear required PPE.
• Observes and complies with all provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS.

• Vocational/technical training needed or a high school diploma or general education degree with work experience in an industrial setting.
