Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervising daily site operations, leading crews, enforcing safety and quality standards, managing schedules, ordering materials, and serving as the key link between workers and management, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget by overseeing tasks, training staff, and resolving issues
• Install, maintain, inspect, evaluate, and troubleshoot equipment and controls to ensure continued safe operation and maximized life cycle performance
• Perform routine repairs as well as respond to essential repair calls
• Identify and evaluate concerns with the current HVAC system
• Discuss heating-cooling system malfunctions with customers to isolate problems and/or verify that malfunctions have been resolved
• Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials used on work orders
• Assist with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teams
• Generate work orders that address deficiencies in need of correction
• Keep a maintained and organized company vehicle and identify vehicle problem areas that surface
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 7-10 years maintenance & repair experience in the HVAC and refrigeration trade

Competencies:

• Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques, electrical circuits and wiring, operating principles of motors, and local electrical codes
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and customers
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Physical Demands
Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force on a frequent basis

• Climbing up and down ladders
• Tight space work required at times
• Operate hand-held power tools
• Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work

Work Environment

This job operates primarily alone on HVAC and boiler equipment but at times may operate as a team as well in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year. Vehicles are used as the base of operations. Proper safety procedures and operations are expected to be followed at all times.
