We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Electrician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of electrical systems, including AC, power plants, wiring, and PLC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all these areas, with a proven track record of success in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Perform general electrical maintenance on AC systems, power plants, and other related equipment.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and specifications to perform assigned tasks.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems.
• Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
• Work independently in troubleshooting and providing solutions to unresolved maintenance problems.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an electrician.
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
• Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
• Valid license to practice the profession.
• Proven experience with AC, power plant systems, wiring, and PLC.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
