Route Service Technician - Mechanical Westland

IPAX has manufactured industrial safety cleaners and degreasers in the Detroit area for over 40 years. We are a stable local company looking for a dependable Route Service Technician to service customer equipment at locations throughout Metro Detroit.

This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on work experience who enjoys working independently, driving a route, and interacting with customers.

• $22/hour starting pay
• Three full workdays per week (8‑hour shifts)
• Company box truck provided
• Paid training
• Local routes (home every day)

• Drive a company‑provided box truck to customer locations
• Service industrial parts‑washing equipment
• Replace cleaning solutions and perform preventive maintenance
• Inspect pumps, hoses, filters, and related components
• Complete service records using a simple mobile app
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Report equipment or safety concerns

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
• Ability to work independently and manage a route
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable performing physical work throughout the day
• Professional communication skills

Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required:

• Equipment maintenance
• Automotive service
• HVAC
• Mechanical assembly
• Warehouse maintenance
• Facilities maintenance
• Construction trades
• General repair work

Training will be provided to the right candidate.

This is a long‑term part‑time position. We are seeking a dependable individual who can consistently work a three‑day schedule and provide excellent service to our customers.
