Position OverviewWe have an immediate need for a night‑shift Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Department in Portland, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of 480V troubleshooting and installation, and the ability to work in a team setting while also being able to complete smaller tasks independently. This hands‑on role requires a self‑starter mindset.
What You Can Expect To Be Doing- Conduct daily and weekly preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial hydraulic and pneumatic machinery
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial equipment installations
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
- Repair, install, and adjust industrial extrusion machinery
- Work a 12‑hour night shift (6 pm to 6 am) with a rotating 12‑hour schedule (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next week, including every other weekend)
- 3+ years of experience working with 480V 3‑phase electrical systems
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial production machinery or related machinery
- Welding and fabrication experience a plus but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job
- Must be able to be on‑call if necessary
- Rigging and heavy equipment experience a plus
- Knowledge of pipe threading for air, hydraulic, and electrical piping
- Understanding of lockout procedures and Arc flash protection/dangers
- Ability to use scissor lifts, boom/aerial lifts, and forklifts
- Starting rate of up to $33.00 an hour (plus shift differential) based upon experience and required written assessment
- 12‑hour night shift (6 pm to 6 am) working a 2 × 2 × 3 schedule
