- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
- Operate MIG and TIG welders.
- Cut, shape, and join metal parts using hand and power tools.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Repair metal components and equipment as needed.
- Follow all workplace safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a welder or similar role.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Follow verbal directions to meet production schedule.
- Ability to use ruler, scale, tape measure, calipers.
- Possess basic tools including gear wrenches, impact gun, torque wrenches, metric & standard sockets.
- High dedication to quality of results to avoid rework.
- Ability to work under pressure/ time constraints.
- Able to work with minimal direction and achieve objectives.
- Minimum 2 years in general welding and metal working or associated field.
- Experience in the use of hand tools and hand power tools.
- Valid driver’s license (for service-related positions).
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).
- This is a FLSA non-exempt position and is paid on an hourly basis, where project requirements and tight client deadlines may require workweeks over forty (40) hours (including weekends or holidays).
- This role is based on the production floor. This position requires standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.
- Mobility:
Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs. - Manual Dexterity:
Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. - Lifting:
Ability to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards. - Visual and Auditory Requirements:
Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members.
