Electrical Apprentice

This position will report to BBEC, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.

The Apprentice Electrician will be responsible for assisting electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of an electrician actually installing the work and handling the bulk of materials. This employee should keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and always keep the work area clean. Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.

To perform this job successfully, the Apprentice Electrician must be able to perform each Essential Duty successfully. The requirements listed below are indicative of knowledge, skills and abilities required.

• Must attend 576 hours of classroom instruction and maintain a minimum passing grade of 70
• Must complete 8,000 hours of on-the-job training
• Positively identify colors of wires
• Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics of same
• Bend conduit by hand with hand benders
• Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches
• Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment
• Practices and comprehends safe work procedures as outlined in the Safety Policy
• Read and interpret maps, instruction manuals, specifications, work site directions, blue prints and written instructions.
• Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly sit, stand and walk
• Work from all types of ladders
• Job requires employee to have required personal tools with them at all times
• Able to work eight (8) hour days, forty (40) hour weeks and overtime as required plus night shift if applicable

• High school diploma, completion of G.E.D
• The Apprentice Electrician will comply with the standards of apprenticeship and training for Electricians of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of Independent Electrical Contractors
• Valid driver's license with own transportation to job sites
