Industrial Shop Electrician Daylight Shift

TOPS Staffing is hiring an experienced Industrial Shop Electrician for a growing manufacturer in the Sarver/Saxonburg, PA area. This is a great opportunity for an electrician who prefers working in a clean shop environment instead of traveling from job site to job site. You'll report to the same facility every day, building and wiring custom industrial electrical systems used in specialized equipment and control rooms.

Candidates with industrial or commercial electrical experience are strongly preferred, as this role involves conduit, busway, and power distribution work that is not typically found in residential electrical applications.

Schedule & Pay:

• Direct Hire Position
• Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Overtime: regularly available but not mandatory
• Optional Saturday overtime (6:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
• Overtime is encouraged but rarely mandated, we never work past 4:30pm on weekdays.
• Starting Pay Rate: $27.29/hour

What You'll Do:

• Install electrical wiring in custom-built industrial equipment and control rooms
• Bend and install electrical conduit
• Install busway systems used for industrial power distribution
• Wire breaker panels, disconnects, receptacles, lighting, and electrical outlets
• Install and wire power supplies, junction boxes, and electrical components for control panels
• Pull and terminate electrical wiring according to prints and specifications
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Test completed electrical systems to ensure proper operation
• Use electrical test equipment to verify wiring and troubleshoot issues
• Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and company quality standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship, technical school, or equivalent industrial electrical experience
• Prior industrial or commercial electrical experience strongly preferred
• Experience bending conduit and installing electrical raceways
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and wiring schematics
• Experience wiring breaker panels, lighting, receptacles, and industrial power distribution systems
• Proficient with electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Ability to distinguish color-coded wiring

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the workday
• Ability to pull wire through conduit and busway systems
• Lift up to 45 pounds occasionally
