Helicopter Mechanic
This role focuses on performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on civilian helicopters in a repair station environment. You will use your technical expertise to interpret schematics and technical drawings, carry out heavy maintenance tasks, and ensure aircraft are safe, reliable, and compliant with aviation standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on civilian helicopters, including rotary-wing and turbine aircraft.
- Conduct detailed inspections to identify wear, defects, and potential safety issues on airframes, powerplants, and related systems.
- Carry out heavy maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring all work meets regulatory and internal quality standards.
- Interpret and read schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
- Use personal tools and equipment to perform mechanical repairs, adjustments, and component replacements.
- Collaborate with A&P mechanics, avionics technicians, sheet metal mechanics, and composites technicians in a Part 145 repair station environment.
- Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in accordance with applicable regulations and shop procedures.
- Support maintenance on multiple helicopter models, such as Agusta/Agustawestland, Bell, Eurocopter, Airbus, and Sikorsky.
- Ensure a safe and organized work area, following established safety protocols and best practices.
- Communicate clearly with team members and leadership regarding aircraft status, maintenance needs, and repair progress.
Essential Skills
- At least 4 years of helicopter maintenance experience.
- Ability to accurately interpret and read schematics and technical drawings.
- Proven experience performing inspections and heavy maintenance on helicopters.
- Strong mechanical aptitude in aircraft and helicopter repair and maintenance.
- Experience working with rotary-wing and turbine aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in conducting maintenance, inspections, and repairs on airframe and powerplant components.
- Ownership and regular use of personal tools suitable for helicopter maintenance work.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work effectively in a Part 145 repair station environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license preferred but not required.
- Experience with any model of civilian helicopter is a strong plus.
- Background working on multiple helicopter platforms such as Agusta/Agustawestland, Bell, Eurocopter, Airbus, and Sikorsky.
- Familiarity with repair station documentation and regulatory compliance processes.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including avionics, sheet metal, and composites technicians.

Work Environment

You will handle maintenance on multiple civilian helicopter models, using your own tools alongside shop equipment in a structured, safety-focused environment. The position operates on a first-shift schedule and provides access to a variety of aircraft systems and technologies, offering a dynamic and hands-on workday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensalem, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
