This position will report to BBEC, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. BBEC, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Journeyman to perform a variety of electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires adherence to safety standards, electrical codes, and project specifications to ensure high-quality and reliable electrical work.
Job Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts and equipment installation.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Install and connect control panels, switches, and other electrical devices.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Adhere to all local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure efficient project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment common to the electrical trade.
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices and less experienced electricians as needed.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
