Based in Troy, PA, our operations focus on natural gas exploration, drilling, and production. We're seeking a skilled Field Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Employee to join our team, ensuring the reliability and performance of our field equipment while maintaining the highest safety standards.

The Field I&E Employee will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, electrical systems, and measurement equipment at our upstream oil and gas facilities near Troy, PA. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in measurement, Comms and electrical work, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in field instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment.

The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively to support safe and efficient operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

• Install and Maintain Equipment
  :
  Install, calibrate, and maintain a variety of instrumentation and electrical equipment, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature controllers, level sensors, and motor control centers (MCCs) used in upstream oil and gas operations.
• Troubleshoot and Repair
  :
  Diagnose and repair issues with instrumentation, control circuits, and electrical systems, including 24
  
  VDC controls, 120V AC controls, 480V motors, and up to 13.8kV switch gear, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Measurement Systems
  :
  Oversee the operation and maintenance of natural gas measurement systems, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, BLM regulations). Perform calibration and testing on measurement devices such as gas meters and analyzers.
• SCADA and PLC Systems
  :
  Monitor and troubleshoot SCADA systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to ensure proper operation of field equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Preventive Maintenance
  :
  Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on instrumentation and electrical equipment, using tools like data collectors, diagnostic software, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document repairs and maintenance history.
• Safety and Compliance
  :
  Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout-tagout, confined space entry, and gas tech monitoring requirements. Conduct safety inspections on gas systems and respond to emergency calls related to equipment malfunctions or gas leaks.
• Documentation and Reporting
  :
  Generate detailed work records, including inspection reports, calibration logs, and maintenance documentation, using systems like SAP to order spares and manage inventory.
• Collaboration
  :
  Work closely with operations, engineering, and field personnel to support equipment commissioning, new installations, and system upgrades. Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and contractors.
• Field Operations Support
  :
  Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in the natural gas industry, ensuring all work meets company and regulatory standards. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

• Experience
  :
  Minimum of 10 years of experience in measurement and electrical work within the upstream oil and gas industry, with a focus on field instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment.
• Technical Skills
  :
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation (e.g., flow, pressure, temperature, level devices) and electrical systems (e.g., VFDs, relays, motors, switch gear).
• Strong working knowledge of natural gas measurement principles and equipment, including calibration and maintenance of gas meters and analyzers.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLCs, HMIs, and distributed control systems (DCS), with the ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, P&IDs, and single-line diagrams.
• Experience with high-voltage systems (up to 13.8kV) and low-voltage controls (24
  
  VDC, 120V AC).
• Education
  :
  High school diploma or GED required. An associate’s degree in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field, or equivalent training from a recognized trade/technical school, is preferred.

• Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (rain, heat, cold) and on uneven terrain.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
