Every day brings dynamic challenges where your skills directly shape exceptional client spaces.

P.C. Curry Floor Covering INC is looking for an experienced Commercial Flooring Installer who can step onto an active jobsite, understand the scope, prepare the work area, and deliver quality installations without constant supervision.

This is not an entry-level or apprentice position. We already have developing installers on the team. We are looking for a dependable flooring professional who brings strong commercial experience, can work across multiple flooring systems, adapts well around other trades, and has the judgment to keep work moving when site conditions are not perfect.

For the right person, this role can also create a path toward additional responsibility in crew leadership, project coordination, or estimating.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Install commercial flooring across a variety of project types, including schools, healthcare facilities, multifamily properties, offices, and other commercial environments.
  • Work with resilient flooring systems including VCT, LVT/LVP, sheet vinyl, carpet, and other commercial flooring products.
  • Perform layout, floor preparation, patching, adhesive application, cutting, fitting, seaming, and finish work according to project requirements.
  • Work with specialty applications such as heat-welded sheet vinyl and integral cove installations when experience applies.
  • Review field conditions and identify issues that could affect installation quality or production.
  • Adjust effectively when site conditions differ from plans or when multiple trades are working in the same area.
  • Coordinate with foremen, project leadership, other installers, and surrounding trades to keep projects moving.
  • Maintain clean, safe, professional jobsites and follow established safety requirements.
  • Help guide less-experienced installers when appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly when materials, site conditions, layouts, or scheduling create potential installation issues.

Required Qualifications &

Experience:

  • 5+ years of flooring installation experience, with meaningful commercial project experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple commercial flooring materials and installation methods.
  • Ability to evaluate a room or work area and determine proper preparation, layout, and installation sequence.
  • Ability to work independently without requiring constant direction.
  • Experience working on active commercial jobsites alongside other trades.
  • Strong workmanship with a focus on minimizing callbacks and rework.
  • Dependable attendance and professional jobsite conduct.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation appropriate for assigned work.
  • Ability to work early construction schedules; many crews begin around 6:00–6:30 AM.

Preferred Qualifications &

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Specialized expertise in large-scale commercial flooring environments.
  • Certification in safety and technical operations (e.g., OSHA, Fall Protection, Lifts).

We encourage you to apply if you also bring experience with:
