The PositionBecome a Park Maintenance Worker with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and help support park projects that make a difference. You will take part in a wide range of activities that keep the park operating smoothly. This role provides hands‑on experience using tools and equipment that assist in maintaining park facilities. Descriptionof Work
This position supports park operations by performing semi‑skilled tasks that contribute to the construction and maintenance of park projects. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Manual Labor: Dig holes and ditches and load materials using hand tools
- Grounds Work: Mow and trim grass with various types of mowing equipment
- Facility Upkeep: Clean buildings and remove snow from walkways and roads
- Repair Tasks: Make repairs to structures and facilities using common trade tools
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tractors, pumps, compressors, and similar equipment
- Project Assistance: Assist skilled workers and help with cement work and stone or block wall construction

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full‑time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee Upon successful completion of probationary period, the employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
- Days/shifts will vary due to the seasonal nature of the position, holidays and weekends will be required, will work 37.5 hours/5 days per week.
- Overtime and travel may be required

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA non‑commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
