This role involves assembling, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes, hoists, and related mechanical/electrical components in a shop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of crane and hoist components
• Conduct inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
  
  Document work performed using service reports or work orders
• Assist in loading/unloading equipment and materials
• Collaborate with engineers, field technicians, and supervisors on projects
• Adhere to company safety standards and OSHA regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical school preferred)
• 1-3 years of experience in mechanical or electrical repair (crane industry experience is a plus)
• Ability to read and understand prints and spec sheets.
• Knowledge of VFD programming
• Basic understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC motors, controls, wiring)
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment (certification preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor
