This is a hands-on, active position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, using tools, and seeing the results of their work at the end of the day. Our installers travel to residential and commercial job sites throughout the Pittsburgh area installing awnings and related products.
What You'll Do
- Install residential and commercial awnings
- Travel to job sites with our installation crew in a company truck
- Work with hand tools, drills, ladders, and installation equipment
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Assist experienced installers and learn installation techniques on the job
- Work outdoors in a variety of locations
- Communicate professionally with customers and other crew members
What We're Looking For
Experience is NOT required. We're willing to train someone who shows up, works hard, and wants to learn.
You must:
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
- Be dependable and arrive on time
- Be comfortable working with your hands and using basic tools
- Be physically capable of lifting and carrying awnings, ladders, and installation materials
- Be comfortable working outdoors and on ladders
- Be willing to learn and take direction
- Work well as part of a crew
Previous experience in construction, installation, carpentry, roofing, windows and doors, landscaping, sign installation, or other skilled trades is a plus and may qualify for a higher starting wage.
Schedule
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–4:30 PM
No regular evening or weekend work.
Pay
Starting at $17/hour for candidates with little or no experience.
Higher starting pay is available for candidates with relevant construction, installation, or skilled-trade experience.
As you learn the trade and become more valuable to the installation team, there is opportunity for increased responsibility and pay.
