Purpose:
Utility Assistance Coordinator's assist individuals seeking utility assistance through income-based programs.
- Enter and process utility assistance applications, scan and upload required documentation, and screen for income eligibility using multiple databases simultaneously.
- Engage with individuals via phone, email, and in-person.
- Refer individuals to other assistance programs that can provide services which address barriers to housing security.
- Network, participate, and attend related meetings within Tri County Community Action and with other relevant agencies.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bilingual a plus
- Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize the internet, spreadsheets and databases.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, including crisis/conflict management.
- State Police, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances.
- Reliable transportation.
- Motor Vehicle Driving clearances.
