Located in Hawley, Wayne County, PA this is a rewarding opportunity for a patient, compassionate, and organized individual who enjoys working with senior citizens and supporting their independence and well-being. Duties include assisting senior day center participants with personal care and daily needs while promoting safety, dignity, and independence. This position supports older adults by providing information, guidance, and help with important programs and activities across Wayne County. You will split your time between Hawley, PA and Honesdale, PA. As an Aging Case Aide 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Benefits Guidance: Assist older adults in understanding programs such as Medicare, PA MEDI, PACE, LIHEAP, and Tax or Rent Rebate
• Application Support: Help clients complete applications and connect with community resources
• Community Outreach: Conduct outreach across Wayne County, including home visits to homebound individuals
• Program Coordination: Organize senior center activities, support volunteers, and manage registration and assessments
• Nutrition Assistance: Support meal distribution, sanitation steps, and donation documentation
• Record Management: Maintain accurate records and complete data entry in agency and statewide databases

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Employee may have overnight travel or out of the county travel for meetings or training.
• Employee may cover at other senior centers or satellite.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
• One year as an Aging Case Aide 1; or
• Two years of public contact work, including one year in a human services program; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a tuberculosis and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
