School Social Worker - Lake Ariel, PA

Step into a rewarding opportunity making a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Social Worker for the upcoming 26/27 school year! This full-time position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, running from ASAP through May 28, 2027. As a key support professional, you'll work closely with educators, families, and community resources to foster an inclusive and supportive school environment.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW) from an accredited program
• Current state licensure or ability to obtain necessary credentials for school-based social work
• Previous experience or strong knowledge in school social work settings preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with students, families, and staff
• Compassionate approach with the ability to respond effectively in crisis situations
• Cultural competence and commitment to equity in educational settings

• Provide direct social, emotional, and behavioral support to students across grade levels
• Conduct assessments and implement intervention strategies to address individual student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create and support IEP and 504 teams
• Liaise between school, families, and community agencies to coordinate services and referrals
• Deliver small group and individual counseling sessions
• Advocate for students’ well-being and positive school engagement
• Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives for mental health and behavioral support
