This role is well-suited for PMHNPs with a strong interest or background in psychiatry who are seeking to deepen their expertise in psychopharmacology within a structured, supportive environment.

Compensation & Benefits
(In compliance with Vermont pay transparency requirements)
Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $140,000 annually (commensurate with experience and licensure)
Performance Bonuses: Up to $40,000 quarterly
Educational Incentives: Up to $1,500
Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,000 (select candidates)

What You’ll Do
As a PMHNP with Balanced Wellbeing, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients in long-term care settings, including skilled nursing and assisted living facilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments
Diagnose and treat mental health conditions through evidence-based medication management
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret laboratory tests as appropriate
Participate in GDR and psychotropic medication review meetings
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, facility staff, and families
Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
Meet daily productivity and encounter expectations
Respond to facility needs as appropriate (no formal on-call)
Schedule & Work Setting
Monday–Friday, daytime hours
No weekends or holidays
Work in skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted living facilities
Minimal regional travel within the Bennington area

What We’re Looking For
Active APRN license as a PMHNP in the state applying for.
National board certification (ANCC or equivalent)
DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
Psychiatric experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
Ability to pass required background checks
Four verifiable peer references
Organized, reliable, and team-oriented
Reliable transportation for limited travel between facilities
