Description of workThis role focuses on supporting individuals at Selinsgrove Center by helping deliver treatment, training, and daily living services. You will work as part of the Interdisciplinary Team to encourage growth in self-care, socialization, and health maintenance. As a Residential Services Aide, you will perform the following duties:
- Plan Support:
Assist with IHP/ISP development by recording accurate information for each individual - Active Treatment:
Implement training plans to help individuals build important skills - Team Communication:
Share observations with team members to enhance service delivery - Record Keeping:
Document information in unit records to support coordinated care - Environment Improvement:
Help maintain a therapeutic setting through selection and care of personal items - Advocacy Role:
Model respectful behavior that protects dignity, privacy, and rights

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Your schedule will include rotating break days and every 3rd weekend off. Available hours include:
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch
- 2nd shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch
- Overtime and travel as needed
- Free parking
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,376.00 (before taxes). - You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. - Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
