Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Real-Time Data Platform team, you will design and build high-load, distributed systems that process data from millions of users globally. • Design, implement, and maintain real‑time, high‑load data collection and processing services
• Lead architectural decisions for shared infrastructure components, including metrics, distributed tracing, and configuration management
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define API contracts and integration points
• Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, performance optimization, and reliability engineering
• Contribute to scalable, event‑driven microservices architecture and distributed system design
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure as code practices
• Support observability and troubleshooting through dashboards, metrics, and distributed tracing tools

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Java (Java 17+), including concurrency and Java Memory Model (JMM)
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and reactive programming frameworks (e.g., Project Reactor)
• Hands‑on experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event‑driven development
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and message brokers (Apache Kafka preferred)
• Strong command of English

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar
• Familiarity with observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing (Open Telemetry or similar)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Knowledge of time‑series or columnar databases (Click House, Cassandra)
