The application you’re responsible for sits at the core of natural catastrophe simulation at Swiss Re.

In this role you would have the outstanding possibility to work on some of the
most exciting engineering challenges
the industry can offer. You craft and implement reliable, highly parallelized applications hosted on Azure, our public cloud hosting platform of choice.

In close collaboration with natural catastrophe experts, you lead the design, implementation and testing of our core applications.

• You have a wealth of experience in a lead position, in-charge of building public cloud applications, preferably in Java
• Experience in systems design, high performance / parallel computing (HPC). GPU programming as a plus
• Understanding of the implications and the trade-offs of different solutions with regards to performance, reliability, availability and security
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative mindset

For Slovakia the
base salary range
for this position is between [EUR 3,800] and [EUR 6,300] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
