The Software Engineer II works in application development within a financial services organization, delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation. Responsibilities include developing web applications with Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSPs, and MVC frameworks such as Spring; working on multi-tier applications designed, developed, and delivered as cloud-based solutions; designing and developing cloud-native applications and microservices with REST, JSON, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC;

deploying and configuring cloud-native applications; UI web development framework experience; relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server; unstructured data technologies including Mongo

DB and Snowflake; ORM tools such as Hibernate and JPA; and Dev Ops toolsets for versioning, containers, and continuous integration, using Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins. The role also involves writing high-quality code based on business and functional requirements, following the Agile process, producing code that meets deadlines, analyzing and resolving issues during testing or pre-production phases, coordinating changes with project leaders, providing technical support, interacting with architects and managers to address technical and scheduling issues, and suggesting and implementing process improvements.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive experience in application development within a financial services organization, with proven delivery of systems and projects from inception through implementation. Five (5) years of experience with Web application development using Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSPs, MVC frameworks such as Spring, multi-tier cloud-based solutions, cloud-native application design, microservices using REST, JSON, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, UI web development frameworks, relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server), unstructured data models (Mongo

DB, Snowflake), ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA), and Dev Ops toolsets for versioning, containers, and CI pipeline tools (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
