Software Engineer II – SEI Investments Company
Location:
1 Freedom Valley Drive, Oaks, PA 19456
The Software Engineer II works in application development within a financial services organization, delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing Web applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSPs, and MVC frameworks such as Spring.
- Designing and deploying multi-tiered and cloud-based solutions, including Cloud Native applications and microservices with REST, JSON, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
- Configuring and managing relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and unstructured data stores (Mongo
DB, Snowflake). - Utilizing ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA) and Dev Ops toolsets for version control, containerization, and continuous integration (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
- Collaborating with architects, technical leads, and project managers to translate business and functional requirements into high‑quality code within an Agile framework.
- Analyzing and resolving issues found during testing or pre‑production phases, coordinating changes, and providing technical support to team members.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements for estimation, development, and testing cycles.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
Five (5) years of progressive experience in application development for a financial services organization, with demonstrable delivery of systems from inception through implementation.
Five (5) years of experience specifically in:
- Developing Web applications with Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSPs.
- Using MVC frameworks such as Spring.
- Designing, developing, and delivering multi‑tiered, cloud‑based solutions.
- Building Cloud Native applications and microservices.
- Deploying and configuring cloud‑native services.
- Working with UI web development frameworks.
- Managing relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Working with unstructured data stores such as Mongo
DB and Snowflake. - Using ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA).
- Applying Dev Ops practices with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
The offered salary for this position is one hundred fifty‑four thousand dollars.
