Software Engineer II

Position

Software Engineer II, application development in a financial services organization.

Location:

1 Freedom Valley Drive, Oaks, PA 19456.

• Develop code based on business and functional requirements following Agile methodology.
• Produce high‑quality code that meets project deadlines and aligns with requirements.
• Analyze and resolve issues found during testing or pre‑production phases.
• Coordinate changes with project leaders and cross‑team members.
• Provide technical support to team members and respond to inquiries about errors or program questions.
• Collaborate with architects, technical leads, team members, and project managers to address technical and scheduling issues.
• Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development, and testing activities.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud‑native applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST, and JSON.
• Build and maintain web applications with Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSPs, and MVC frameworks such as Spring.
• Configure and manage relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and unstructured data stores (Mongo
  
  DB, Snowflake).
• Utilize ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA) and Dev Ops toolsets for versioning, containers, and CI/CD (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in application development within a financial services organization, delivering systems from inception to implementation.
• Five (5) years of experience in web application development with Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSPs, and MVC frameworks such as Spring.
• Experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑native and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and unstructured data persistence models (Mongo
  
  DB, Snowflake).
• Strong knowledge of ORM tools including Hibernate and JPA.
• Hands‑on experience with Dev Ops toolsets:
  Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and related CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile teams and collaborate across functional areas.
