Director, Patient Engagement AI Transformation
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is searching for a Director, Patient Engagement AI Transformation to lead the AI transformation and execution roadmap for patient support services across all our key Therapeutic Areas (TAs).

You will be responsible for:
The Director, Patient Engagement AI Transformation will lead our AI transformation journey - applying AI strategically to reimagine how patients start and stay on therapy. This leader will elevate the fulfillment and adherence experience in ways that measurably improve patient care and build a sustained competitive advantage for JJIM. Success requires influencing decisions at the most senior levels while collaborating seamlessly across the J&J IM organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Build and lead a high-performing organization of 5+ direct and 10+ indirect reports, developing enterprise AI capability and positioning the team to deliver against long-range strategic priorities
- Own the AI/ML product portfolio end-to-end for patient support services (including Patient Engagement.AI) within all Therapeutic Areas, serving as the single point of accountability from concept through scaled deployment
- Shape the patient AI roadmap through day-to-day partnership with senior leaders across PECS (Patient Experience & Customer Solutions), Brand Sales & Marketing, Media, Advanced Analytics, Data Science & Engineering, and IT
- Identify and quantify the highest-value intervention points across the patient journey - where, when, and how to act so patients start and stay on therapy
- Embed compliance by design, partnering with HCC, Privacy, and Legal to ensure every solution meets regulatory and ethical standards from day one
- Drive a use-case-centric evaluation of data sets and methodologies to continuously improve predictive capabilities
- Prove impact with rigor- establish the measurement framework, define leading and lagging indicators, and run A/B tests to quantify what's working
- Champion the transformation, advocating for new ways of thinking about AI's role in patient support services across the enterprise
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience in healthcare, analytics, data science, marketing, management consulting or related field is required.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, Master degree preferred.
- Experience with handling budget responsibility of over $2M annually
- Deep fluency with healthcare data ecosystems- integrating and analyzing claims, EHR, lab, specialty pharmacy, SDOH/consumer, and patient hub data to generate actionable insight
- Hands-on practitioner of AI tools(e.g., Claude Code, Copilot Studio) in daily workflows, with concrete examples of measurable gains in delivery speed, output quality, or personal productivity
- Working knowledge of predictive analytics and ML techniques(supervised, unsupervised, deep learning) and their real-world applications (preferred)
- Track record of driving field adoption- moving AI solutions beyond pilots to sustained, embedded usage by commercialization teams
- Proven influence with senior stakeholders, building alignment across functions without direct authority
- Exceptional people leadership- coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing talent
- Intellectual curiosity and adaptability- energized by learning new things and comfortable with shifting timelines and priorities
This position is based in Titusville, NJ with consideration to be in Horsham, PA and will require up to 15% domestic travel
