Automation Engineer will support automation initiatives within a GMP‑regulated biologics pilot plant. This role involves hands‑on automation system support, integration, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts. The individual will also contribute to documentation aligned with SDLC and GMP compliance standards.
This is a 100% on‑site role in West Point/North Wales, PA.
Automation Engineer Responsibilities:- Provide automation system support and troubleshooting in a GMP environment
- Lead or support integration of new automation systems and devices
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements
- Contribute to SDLC processes, including documentation and SOP development
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system reliability and compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation
- 3+ years of experience with Ignition platforms required
- Solid understanding of IT/OT integration
- Hands‑on experience with PLC programming
- Experience working within GMP‑regulated environments
- Proven ability in system and device integration
- Familiarity with PI Historian preferred
- Experience with DeltaV/Unicorn systems preferred
Salary Range: $65,000 — $113,521 USD
