Aquatics: Lifeguard

Central York School District is seeking dedicated and responsible Lifeguards to support the daily operation of our aquatics program. As a Lifeguard, you will play an essential role in ensuring a safe, well-supervised, and welcoming environment for all pool patrons.

• Responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility patrons by preventing and responding to any and all emergencies.

• Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies. Thirty second scan mandatory.
• Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report unsafe conditions and equipment to supervisor.
• Complete appropriate records and reports.
• Attend and participate in all in-service training as a requirement of employment.
• Responsible for work hours. Must obtain a substitute when unable to work.
• Wear only issued uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
• Keep all certifications current.
• Complete 500 yards every 2 weeks.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
• American Red Cross First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer
• Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks within the last twelve (12) months.
