Stone Express
, a division of The H&K Group, Inc., is currently seeking experienced and motivated Class A and B CDL drivers to become a part of our team. Our CDL drivers fulfill a critical role at H&K. This position places an emphasis on reliability and attentiveness, as maintaining both a truck log and the trucks themselves are daily responsibilities that come along with the position.

• Perform all work adhering to DOT Regulations and H&K Safety policies
• Be able to make timely deliveries to various locations
• Prepare receipts for load pick up
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor/Dispatch to receive delivery instructions
• Load and unload truck
• Perform daily pre and post trip inspection of vehicle, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
• Tarps all loads when on public roadways at all times
• Trim loads prior to tarping when necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
• Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Customer Service and Teamwork
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• 3 years of commercial driving experience
• Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
• TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
• Manual transmission experience
• Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
• MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
