RoleThe Line Aircraft Technician is responsible for repair and maintenance of aircraft for the Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) division of Alaska Airlines (AS). This is a union represented position. This role performs all functions in the repair and maintenance of aircraft, including dismantling, repairing, assembly, and erection of machinery and mechanical devices.
Key Duties- Repair and perform maintenance on aircraft, including dismantling, repairing, assembly, and erection of machinery and mechanical devices.
- Perform all work in a prompt, timely manner, adhering to attendance reliability policies and procedures.
- Exercise the authority of an Airman (Repairman or Airframe and/or Powerplant) in signing corrective actions in maintenance documents or aircraft maintenance logs for airworthiness release or return to service, in accordance with Alaska Airlines policies and procedures.
- Act as cockpit coordinator, when assigned, to ensure safe operation of aircraft systems from the flight deck.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues.
- Ability to consistently lift 70 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company procedures.
- Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
- Flexible to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- 2 or more years of aircraft technician experience.
- 2 or more years of college.

Starting RateUSD $43.15/Hr.
