The Heavy Equipment Operator operates front end wheel loader or other equipment in accordance with company policy, and in strict accordance with established standards for environmental, safety, and company regulations.

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment.
• Operates the equipment in strict accordance with all local, state and federal environmental regulations, as well as company regulations.
• Uses the equipment in a responsible and proper way for the job being done.
• Maintains any related records required, i.e. time sheets, hour meter records, work orders, special request work, etc.
• Cleans equipment daily to ensure the vehicle meets company expectations to include inside the cab, and ensuring that all mud and collected material is cleaned from the operating surfaces and grease fittings.
• Ensures that the vehicle is properly serviced and inspected daily before use. Reports any maintenance issues on the vehicle condition report and reports it immediately to the operations and/or maintenance manager.
• Operators must complete a daily PM sheet on their equipment.
• May be required to drive other vehicles for which properly trained and qualified.
• Other duties as assigned from time to time by supervisors or company management.

• Demonstrated ability and previous experience in operating heavy equipment, or properly trained and authorized by Operations Manager.
• Ability to effectively deal with customers and co-workers.
• Requires a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle to prevent damage to truck, equipment, or surrounding items.
• Ability to sit in the cab of the truck for long periods. Able to bend, stoop, and climb into and out of the vehicle and body unassisted.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
