Shipping Coordinator

Location: Big Run

Our client, a leading manufacturer supporting time-critical construction projects and the drilling industry, is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join their team. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the shipping operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

** Shift:
** 1st shift

** What's the Job?*
* + Run day-to-day LTL, partial flatbed, and truckload shipping operations for the organization.

+ Manage a multi-carrier network to balance cost, service, and capacity, ensuring timely deliveries.

+ Tender, schedule, and track daily shipments to meet job site delivery windows and customer commitments.

+ Quote and select carriers using market and lane-history benchmarks, and negotiate rates and discounts.

+ Resolve shipment issues such as exceptions, late deliveries, missed pickups, and damaged or lost freight, while preparing all necessary shipping paperwork.

** What's Needed?*
* + 1-2 years of shipping experience preferred.

+ Working knowledge of NMFC classifications, accessorial charges, and carrier liability/insurance.

+ Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or website portals.

+ Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to multitask under time pressure.
