EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations Management preferred. A minimum of 3 years of related experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Other levels of education and experience may be considered.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
The employee has to have the ability to read and comprehend reports and instructions, shipping/receiving paperwork, short correspondence, and memos. The employee has to have the ability to write simple correspondence. The employee has to have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
The employee has to have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The employee has to have the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
REASONING ABILITY: The employee has to have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems, trouble shoot, and analytically solve situations in the plant.
LEADERSHIP ABILITY: The employee has to have the ability to lead others by demonstrating proper procedures and speed, addressing interpersonal issues, training of new employees, directing and coaching employees.
COMPUTERSKILLS:
Basic Computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel), and other internal programs are required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms, and is frequently required to walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Employee is required to stand on his/her feet for approximately 9 hours every day. Employee will be occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly lift up to 25 pounds with some lifting to be overhead.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Employee will be exposed to variation of temperature from ambient air temperature to

F. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, and for safety reasons hearing protection is mandatory in all areas of the facility except break rooms and offices.
AVAILABILITY: The employee has to have flexibility in their scheduling to work more than 9 hours a day and more than 5 days a week when business needs dictate.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Comply with and enforce all safety rules.
- Follows and ensures that all food safety, GMP’s, HACCP procedures and any other company policies are followed in department.
- Communicate with Production, Purchasing, and the Plant Manager on a daily basis.
- Stay in touch with new projects, products, and testing.
- Schedule appointments for common carrier trucks and call dispatchers to check for customer truck arrivals.
- Ability to drive a fork truck and all types of pallet moving equipment and operate battery charging equipment safely.
- Review fleet vehicles and communicate with drivers to make sure equipment is maintained in good order. Request the order of spare parts as needed with purchasing.
