Job Overview
A CDL A Delivery Driver position with a major food service company. Drivers start at $35.50 per hour (annual increases). Top performers can earn over $100,000 annually.
Responsibilities- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times.
- Unload products from the trailer using a two‑wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place them in designated customer storage areas.
- Verify the accuracy of each delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
- Provide professional customer service to enhance the client experience.
- Perform all pre‑trip and post‑trip equipment inspections.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repeatedly during each shift.
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather with frequent stops (10+ per shift).
- Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
- Minimum age 21.
- Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
- Six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
- Manual transmission operation preferred and may be required in specific locations.
- English language proficiency for reading, speaking, and writing official reports.
Monday through Friday. Dispatch between 3 AM and 5 AM. Average of 50 hours per week. Occasionally cover Saturdays on a rotating schedule.
Compensation and BenefitsBase rate between $34.50/hr and $50.00/hr, with overtime, retention bonus, and weekly pay.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision (less than $100 per week for family coverage), pre‑tax spending accounts, retirement benefits with 2% company contribution and up to 6% match, paid time off, short‑term and long‑term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
Employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan with a 2% automatic company contribution and an additional 6% match.
Additional benefits: daily home, Home Daily opportunity, and a retention bonus of up to $5,000.
Clearinghouse RegistrationRegistering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a Department of Transportation requirement. All drivers must create and maintain an account in the database to track drug and alcohol program violations.
