Location: Manheim
Overview
Senior Dispatcher – Vehicle Operations. Individual Contributor.
Flexible Work Option – no remote work. Must work onsite at a Cox location. Hybrid – 1 day per week in‑office required.
Compensation:
Hourly base pay $22.02 – $33.08 per hour. Additional earnings possible through commission or incentive programs.
Location:
Must live within 50 miles driving distance of a Manheim facility.
- Facilitate transport of customer vehicles to and from auction sites and other locations.
- Contact customers to determine vehicle availability and condition.
- Schedule vehicle pick‑up and delivery with customers and transporters.
- Assist with reconciliation of transporter‑related issues.
- Notify customer account representatives and transporters of vehicle transportation issues.
- Monitor and report on customer and transporter performance.
- Compile vehicle transportation data and generate routine reports.
- Coordinate transportation by contacting carriers in the established network.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with network carriers.
- Track shipment/delivery information and resolve problems such as missing, damaged or late vehicles.
- Escalate complex issues according to established procedures.
- Identify new carriers to expand the Cox network.
- Audit carrier performance and work with representatives to resolve systemic issues.
- Address customer and transport issues escalated by team members, customers or carriers.
- Collaborate with internal partners to solve problems and meet customer needs.
- Co‑achieve and coach less experienced team members.
- Communicate broader organizational objectives and team impact.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of related experience; or a combination of a higher degree and 3 years of related experience; or 7 years of related experience.
Preferred: Experience in auto transportation or logistics. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Proven decision‑making ability. Customer‑service skills. Strong problem‑solving and innovative thinking. De‑escalation and flawless follow‑up skills. Knowledge of DOT regulations.
