Transportation Coordinator
The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and routing customer shipments; as well as preparing and completing all necessary paperwork for each shipment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. This list is not all inclusive.
- Provide instructions to external drivers
- Thoroughly and accurately complete all required paperwork
- Document and maintain records of shipments
- Utilizing routing guidelines to coordinate outgoing shipments
- Communicating with customers internal and externally as needed
- Coordinate various modalities with customers for outgoing shipments
- Utilizes various systems to route customer shipments
- Utilizes various systems to print and prepare all necessary paperwork for product shipments
- Prepares and coordinates all necessary documents for customer manifests, bill of lading, and any other related documents
- Documents and maintain records of shipments
- Coordinates with the operations team to ensure successful scheduling of customer shipments
- Follows process and procedures for each customer
One year or more of related experience in the transportation or distribution field
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Communication skills:
Able to speak effectively to employees, management customers, and
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and succeed in a fast pace, high volume environment.
Able to accurately perform organized, accurate, and detailed work.
Skilled in problem-solving
Skilled with Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Outlook
Self-directed- able to complete work with little day to day direction
Able to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with external customers and internal partners at all organizational levels.
