Chemical Transport Driver – CDL A

NALCO Water, an Ecolab Company, has an immediate need for a Customer Delivery Specialist.

Youll be responsible for providing customer delivery of chemicals. As a DOT driving professional, you will safely operate a diesel tractor-trailer combination vehicle over congested city highways, rolling and mountainous terrain, and rural roads. In addition, you will provide preventative maintenance to any type of vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants, and warehouse locations.

Class A CDL with Haz Mat & Tanker endorsements REQUIRED

3+ years commercial driving experience REQUIRED

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $30 $ 32/hr average
• $5,000 signing bonus

Schedule

• Typically Monday Friday; occasional weekends as needed

Qualifications (Required)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Class A CDL with Haz Mat & Tanker endorsements (no restrictions)
• 3+ years commercial driving experience compliant with FMCSA/DOT in past 3 years
• Acceptable motor vehicle record for past 3 years
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs minimum
• Willing to travel 35 days/week; home most weekends/holidays
• No immigration sponsorship available

Conditional / Customer Requirements:

• May require additional background screening and/or drug/alcohol testing for customer credentialing
• May require full COVID-19 vaccination (including booster) unless approved accommodation

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate diesel tractor trailer combinations, tank trucks, and delivery vehicles across varied terrain and traffic
• Deliver chemicals within a 500700 mile radius of plant location
• Load, secure, and unload product per Haz Mat regulations and Zero Defect Delivery procedures
• Maintain driver hours of service using Samsara and/or paper logs
• Perform daily/periodic vehicle inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Maintain accurate delivery maps/routes and communicate status with sales/dispatch/supervisor
• Follow DOT/homeland security guidelines for hazardous materials transport and wear required PPE
• Identify and report safety hazards; exercise Stop Work Authority when necessary
