CDL A Truck Driver

Position Details

Pay:
Average $80,000 - $100,000 annually.

Dispatch times range between 12:00 am and 5:00 am, Monday through Friday – home daily.

Sign-On Bonus: $500 a week for the first 30 weeks.

Food and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure products arrive at customer locations on time and in good condition, and serve as the face of our company by building lasting relationships with customers.

• Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, answering questions accurately and timely.
• Act as a team member within the department and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspect tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company safe driving guidelines, and policies.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and perform count checks of items.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
• Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule.
• Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas.
• Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor regarding order removal per company policy.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Collect money (cash or checks) where required, load customer returns onto trailer, and secure trailer doors.
• Ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are locked or secured as required.
• Unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork at driver check‑in.
• Keep trailers clear and clean, performing general housekeeping duties in the tractor and loading dock area.
• Complete daily record of hours of service and log entries per federal, state, and company requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL‑A license.
• Age 21 or older.
• Meet all relevant state licensing and certification requirements.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years.
• Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Have or obtain a current DOT Health Card.
• Ability to lift and use two‑wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment to move or stack product cases ranging from 10 to 35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds.
