C. Deck & Sons, a division of H&K Group, Inc. is searching for an experienced Lowbed Truck Driver with a Class A CDL. Must have experience driving a lowbed truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport oversize and heavy equipment to and from specified destinations.

• Perform all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K safety policies
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trips on lowbed tractor daily
• Drive lowbed truck to destination
• Prepare trailer for equipment to be picked up
• Load heavy equipment onto trailer
• Drive to assigned job site and unload equipment from lowbed trailer
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatchers to receive pickup and delivery instructions
• Load and unload truck
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
• Position blocks and secure equipment during transit in accordance with federal guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
• CDL A
• Clean driving record
• 1 year of experience driving a lowbed truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport oversize and heavy equipment to and from specified destinations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• 3 years of experience driving a lowbed truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport oversize and heavy equipment to and from specified destinations
• TWIC
• OSHA or other relevant safety training
