LOADING DOCK WORKER / NON-CDL SHUTTLE DRIVER Position Summary

van Hoekelen Greenhouses is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Non-CDL Shuttle Driver / Loading Dock Worker to join our team. This position combines non-CDL box truck driving with loading, unloading, and general warehouse/loading dock responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has a strong driving record, previous box truck experience, and the ability to work a flexible schedule during our busy seasonal operations.

• Safely operate company non-CDL box trucks and other assigned vehicles.
• Transport freight and materials between company locations as needed.
• Load and unload freight from trucks.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate driving and vehicle records in accordance company requirements.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Safely secure and handle freight during transportation.
• Work safely in varying weather conditions.
• Assist with general loading dock and warehouse duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, and climb as required.
• Must be comfortable repeatedly entering and exiting trucks and trailers.
• Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Must be able to work safely on uneven or slippery surfaces and in various weather conditions.

• Must have a valid driver's license. Permits are not accepted.
• Safe driving record and history required.
• No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 12 months.
• Must meet company criminal background screening requirements.

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Previous loading dock, warehouse, delivery, transportation, or freight-handling experience preferred.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
