The Warehouse Utility Associate is a cross-functional operational role supporting daily warehouse activities, inventory management, and order fulfillment at the Abbottstown facility. This position performs hands‑on warehouse work, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, and inventory movement. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to support multiple warehouse functions while maintaining accurate documentation, safe material handling practices, and efficient workflow execution.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Receiving and Shipping Operations- Scan incoming and outgoing packages to support delivery, shipment, and pick‑up preparation
- Receive inbound products and enter information into designated inventory and ERP systems
- Process and ship orders using required shipping software and procedures
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for internal deliveries, external deliveries, and Outside Sales Associate (OSA) pickups
- Prepare and stage new customer orders, including MSA orders, for shipment or delivery
- Locate, move, and manage orders transitioning between staging, shipping, and storage areas
- Perform quality control checks to verify product accuracy, quantities, and condition
- Complete all inbound and outbound documentation daily to maintain accurate warehouse records
- Assist with inventory organization and accuracy initiatives as directed
- Provide cross‑functional coverage during vacations, leaves of absence, or staffing gaps across warehouse operations, including receiving, packing, shipping, and returns
- Assist customers and OSAs with loading orders into vehicles or trucks as needed
- Communicate daily updates, workflow progress, and operational issues to the department manager
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Support continuous improvement efforts within warehouse operations
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
- Previous warehouse or inventory control experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members, management, customers, and vendors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with Net Suite or similar ERP systems preferred
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure
- Ability to assist with training and supporting team members as needed
- Regular use of hands, arms, and material handling equipment
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and bending
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment
- Work environment noise levels are typically low to moderate
