Loader Position
The loader is responsible for the timely and accurate loading of the store orders onto trailers. The three main job functions of shipping consist of truck loading, trailer stripping (unloading) and non-conveyable picking.
Workweek schedule:
Sunday: 7pm-11pm Monday-Thursday: 4pm-1am Starting wage: $18.00/hr. with a $.75 shift differential ($18.75)
Required qualifications loading/unloading:
Report to the loading dock and receive daily assignment and instructions. Inspect trailers prior to entering for condition and being properly secured. Notify the lead or supervisor of any deficiencies. Utilizing provided schedule, load sheets, and case or tote labels, verify that the correct merchandise is being loaded at the proper time. Cases and totes must be loaded right side up with the heavier more durable cases on the floor and lighter merchandise near the roof.
Merge staged non-conveyable merchandise on to the load lanes and load within the correct store orders. Count and verify all rx, cosmetics, and cigarettes. Record accurate counts on the supplied load sheet for that particular trailer. Maintain up to date and accurate recording of all required counts. Unload all merchandise from the returned delivery trailer, separating merchandise by type. When unloading totes are to be separated by color and distributed to their proper destination.
Upon completion of stripping a trailer, each trailer is to be swept out.
Non-conveyable picking:
Locate merchandise ordered and select merchandise from selection slot. Apply bar-code label to top of case and place selected merchandise on pallet. Move empty pallets from pick slots to empty pallet staging slot. Pull completed pallet of merchandise to staging area.
Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally. Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, reach, and stoop on a continuous basis. Ability to frequently and repetitively lift up to 80 pounds, occasionally to 100 pounds. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be certified or have ability to be certified on all equipment needed to complete job tasks.
Able to work within a team and work independently with minimal supervision to complete assignments within established schedules and deadlines.

Pay range:
The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $25.65. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
