Material Handler: Forklift, Inventory & Shipping Pro

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Material Handler to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our facility. Your attention to detail and safety awareness will ensure smooth operations and timely shipments. The ideal candidate is experienced in warehouse distribution, skilled with heavy equipment operation, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team environment.

• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, ensuring safe handling at all times.
• Pick and prepare orders accurately with warehouse management systems to meet shipping deadlines.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Organize warehouse space efficiently for optimal materials handling and easy access.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks following OSHA safety standards.
• Support inventory management through regular stock checks, rotation, and reporting discrepancies or damages.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and improve workflow processes.
• This position will involve working in both receiving and shipping as well as stocking bakery.

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction environments preferred.
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks.
• Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and materials handling tools.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking, load & unload tasks, and inventory accuracy.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Employee will be required to drive a straight truck from warehouse across the parking lot to bakery.
• Must complete training on unloading incoming bulk flour and oil trucks to storage tanks.
