Material Handler

Wavepoint Logistics is hiring a Material Handler for our early 5am shift. In this role, you will load, unload, and move freight using pallet jacks and forklifts, verify inbound and outbound shipments, and stage orders for distribution. You'll use warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory, ensure accurate labeling, and maintain organized, safe storage areas. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you will follow safety and quality standards, support cross-dock and fulfillment activities, and help drive on-time, damage-free service for our transportation and warehousing customers.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
• Move, stage, and organize freight and materials within the warehouse according to procedures
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments against documentation for accuracy and condition
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory and locations
• Pick, pack, and stage orders to support distribution, cross-dock, and fulfillment operations
• Label and wrap pallets and freight to meet customer and carrier requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety and OSHA guidelines
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet productivity and on-time service goals
• Report damages, discrepancies, and equipment issues promptly
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse processes and layout
