Forklift Operator

Performance Food Group is seeking a Forklift Operator Floater to support its fast-paced wholesale food distribution operations in Richmond. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload products across various warehouse zones, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas. You'll handle put-away, replenishment, and order picking while maintaining accurate inventory through RF scanning. As a floater, you'll assist different teams and shifts as needed, upholding PFG's safety-first, customer-focused culture and supporting timely, accurate deliveries nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload food products safely
• Perform put-away, replenishment, and order picking in warehouse and cooler/freezer areas
• Inspect forklifts and report or document maintenance or safety issues
• Follow all safety, food handling, and OSHA guidelines in a fast-paced distribution environment
• Support multiple warehouse functions and shift needs as a floater
• Use RF scanners or warehouse systems to track inventory and orders
• Collaborate with warehouse leads, selectors, and drivers to meet delivery timelines
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
