Yardman

Tague Lumber Inc., a hallmark of excellence since 1908 in providing top-quality building materials and custom solutions, is looking for a diligent Yardman to join our team. This role is crucial for managing the organization and distribution of materials within our yard, ensuring efficiency and support of our commitment to superior service and product provision to the Philadelphia building community.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload building materials from trucks and ensure proper stock placement in the yard and warehouse.
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment in all yard and warehouse areas, following company safety policies.
• Operate a forklift and other machinery required for moving large materials safely.
• Conduct inventory checks and participate in stock maintenance and count activities.
• Assist customers with picking up orders and offer guidance on material specifications.
• Collaborate with sales and dispatch teams to prepare and organize materials for deliveries.
• Inspect and monitor equipment and vehicles for maintenance needs to ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments and warehouse stock.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
