We'd love to meet you - Come and join the Daniel Thwaites family Your day to day:As Food & Beverage Service Manager, you'll lead the Restaurant, Bar, Conference & Events teams, creating a culture of exceptional hospitality while ensuring every guest receives a memorable experience that keeps them coming back. You'll be at the heart of the operation, balancing hands-on leadership with commercial and people management responsibilities.
- Lead, motivate and inspire a diverse food & beverage team across restaurant, bar and conference & events operations, driving service excellence at every opportunity
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of all food and drink service areas
- Conduct regular operational walk rounds, ensuring service areas are prepared to the highest standards and ready to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Review daily reservations, VIP arrivals, dietary requirements and upcoming events, briefing teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Be a visible and hands-on leader during service periods, supporting your teams across breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar service and events when needed
- Plan staffing levels, produce cost-effective rotas and manage labour in line with budgets while ensuring the needs of the business are met
- Recruit, coach and develop your team through training, performance management and regular development conversations, helping colleagues reach their full potential.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to deliver outstanding experiences, menu launches and operational improvements
- Monitor financial performance, sales trends and stock controls, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and profitability
- Ensure all food safety, health & safety and licensing requirements are fully adhered to, maintaining a safe environment for guests and colleagues
- Review guest feedback and performance metrics, driving continuous improvements in service quality and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with departments across the hotel to ensure clear communication and the successful delivery of conferences, events and guest experiences
We're looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager who combines a passion for hospitality with strong commercial awareness and exceptional people management skills. You'll be someone who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being visible on the floor, supporting your team and delighting guests.
This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll need the flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends in line with the needs of the business.
You'll have:- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Management role within a hotel or high-volume hospitality environment
- Strong operational knowledge across restaurant, bar and ideally conference & events service (not essential)
- Experience managing rotas, budgets, stock control and driving profitability
- Good knowledge of food safety, health & safety and hospitality compliance requirements
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and continuously improving standards
