The Opportunity

ASA Recruitment is working with a well-established renewable energy contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Lead Solar Installer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to lead a small installation team while delivering high-quality solar PV projects across domestic, commercial and industrial sites. You'll take responsibility for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise a team of 2-3 Solar PV Installers.

* Install and oversee Solar PV systems across domestic, commercial and industrial projects.

* Work on slate, tile, flat, metal and fibre cement roofs, as well as ground-mounted systems.

* Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and health & safety regulations.

* Maintain excellent quality standards on every installation.

* Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and internal teams.

* Assist with planning, materials and problem-solving on site.

* Represent the business professionally at all times.

Requirements

* Minimum 3-4 years' experience installing Solar PV systems.

* Experience working on domestic and commercial installations.

* Strong knowledge of DC cabling, inverters and associated equipment.

* Previous experience leading or mentoring installers is desirable.

* Working at Height certification.

* First Aid at Work certificate.

* Health & Safety qualification or equivalent site safety training.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

* Willing to travel and stay away from home when required.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable

* Telehandler licence.

* Forklift licence.
